This Cat & Yarn was stretched over Acid Free Foam Board. An Oval Mat with a wide "V" groove was placed on the top. It was finished with a washed white frame.
Needlework is stretched and mounted using only acid free products.
No adhesives of any kind are used with needlework.
We usually mount the needlework using ‘T’ pins and acid free foam board and can provide Lacing services, if you prefer.
If you would like to Mat your Needlework, the mounting is placed in a sink mat to accommodate matting.
Conservation glass is then placed over the mat and then a frame packages everything.
If you do not want to Mat your Needlework, a frame spacer is normally placed between the Conservation glass and your Needlework to keep the glass separated from the fabric.
